Madhu Vedwan of M. M. Modi College won Silver Medal in Asian Archery Championship
Madhu Vedwan, a student of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala has won Silver Medal in ‘2020-2021 Archery Championship’ held at Army Stadium, Dhaka (Bangladesh from 14-19 November, 2021.
Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated Madhu Vedwan for her performance and said that Modi College is committed to providing best facilities and support to sport persons of the college. Madhu Vedwan was also honored by the college and Managing director of Sarbat Da Bhala Trust Dr. S.P.S. Oberoi. She has now qualified for participation in the Asian Games, 2022 which are scheduled to be held at Hangzhou, China where she will compete for the Gold medal. Her coach Sh. Surinder Singh, Punjabi University, Patiala was also facilitated on the occasion.
Dr. Nishan Singh, Head, sports Department also congratulated her and said that the college is proud of her achievement. Dr. Harneet Singh and Prof (Ms) Mandeep Kaur were also present in the event.

ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਮਧੂ ਬੈਦਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਤੀਰ-ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ੀ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਗਮਾ
ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਮਧੂ ਬੈਦਵਾਨ ਨੇ 14 ਤੋਂ 19 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਆਰਮੀ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਢਾਕਾ (ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼) ਵਿੱਖੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਹੋਏ ‘ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਤੀਰ-ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ੀ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ-2021’ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਗਮਾ ਜਿੱਤਕੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਮਧੂ ਬੈਦਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਲਈ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਤਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੁਵਿਧਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮਧੂ ਬੈਦਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਤੇ ‘ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਟਰਸੱਟ’ ਦੇ ਮੈਨਜਿੰਗ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਡਾ.ਐੱਸ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਸ ਉਬਰਾਏ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਲ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੁਣ ਮਧੂ ਬੈਦਵਾਨ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈਗਜ਼ੌ (ਚੀਨ) ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਤਗਮੇ ਲਈ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਕੋਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ. ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਤੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ੳਹ ਅਗਲੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਵਧੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਕਰੇਗੀ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਡਾ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਸਨ।
